Mindfulness for Families with Sue Hutton of Mindfulness Everyday.

October 28, 2018 | 8:00 am - 5:00 pm EDT

This 2 hour workshop will investigate:
o What is mindfulness? – what it is and what it isn’t
o Why be mindful? – the benefits of midnfulness both personally and professionally.
o How to practice mindfulness? – information on both formal meditation practices and practical ways to bring mindfulness into everyday activities.
The focus will be on providing parents with life skills to:
o Cultivate self-care techniques and practices
o Support for students at home through mindful parenting techniques that enhance academic achievement
o Focus on mental health and well-being for families
o Lessen the negative impact of stress on learning
o Enhance healthy habits of mind and body
