The Creativity of Grief
December 22, 2018 | 10:00 am - 12:00 pm EST
FreeAbout this Event
Some of the world’s greatest creations are a byproduct of grief — the pyramids of Giza, the Taj Mahal in Agra. The feeling of being enveloped by heartache and overtaken by loss, is rarely seen as a gift. As we reflect on a year passed, it is inevitable to find moments, big or small, that we grieve. When we take the feeling of grief and channel it into expression, there are creative fruits to bear. Mathura Mahendren will lead us in a session exploring and unpacking our personal stories of grief through design thinking methods, and create the space for it to be translated into expression and sharing.
Grief can be a loaded topic, and as a facilitator, I think it’s important to share with you where I’m coming from and what grief means to me. This piece is a window into my experience of grief – the big grief and the everyday grief – and the questions that I’m inspired to explore. https://medium.com/@mathura.mahendren/on-grief-aea95bf40d28”
