Mending the Gap Between Love and Trauma: Community Screening of Resilience Documentary

Please join us for a community screening of the documentary Resilience: The Biology of Stress and the Science of Hope. There is increasing evidence of the biological and social impact of trauma. Without positive buffers, trauma can make us at risk for disease, homelessness, criminality and early death.

The Resilience documentary has been successful in increasing communities’ understanding of how trauma affects us, and what we can do about it.

The screening will be followed by a community panel and discussion featuring:

Dr. Annette Bailey, Associate Professor, Ryerson University

Randell Adjei, Author, Speaker, Arts Educator, Community Leader

Rhonelle Bruder, Speaker and Advocate

Helgi Maki, Lawyer Consultant

Fiona Scott, Researcher

The event is free however you must register. Refreshments will be provided.

A preview of the documentary is available here https://kpjrfilms.co/resilience/
