Compassion Fatigue and Self-Care Workshop: When the Well is Dry

$45To celebrate Mental Health week (May 6-12), CMHA Toronto will be presenting a workshop on “When the Well is Dry: Compassion Fatigue & Self-Care: “
In this lively and interactive workshop we will:
-define compassion fatigue and discuss how it looks and feels
-explore risk factors for compassion fatigue
-utilize an individual self-assessment tool to reflect on our own compassion satisfaction, stress and fatigue
-explore some of the challenges to self-care
-share and discuss a variety of self-care strategies
-consider supplementary resources locally and online
This workshop is appropriate for anyone engaged in paid and/or unpaid care work and interested in the areas of compassion fatigue and self-care. Learning opportunities includes: videos, practice exercises (breathing, grounding),small group discussion, large group discussion, individual reflection, facilitator sharing and humour.

This event will be facilitated by Rebecca Higgins, an independent mental health educator whose work involves facilitating a suite of workshops for CMHA Toronto as well as her own customized workshops.
