Arts in the Parks: Parks N’ Wreck

FreeParks N’ Wreck offers a month-long streetdance incubator in Prairie Drive Park, gathering the Toronto streetdance scene and local residents through free weekly practice sessions, dance battles, cyphers, and social dancing through August-Sept 2019. This program also features artists animating different areas of the park – all are invited into their rehearsals and creative process! The month will culminate in a celebratory weekend (Sept 7-8) of site-specific showcases, dance battles, live DJs, and vendors. We believe that streetdance is diverse and vibrant, encouraging people to get outside and get down with eachother, enhancing people’s relationships to community, parks, dance, and music.
